Stevie Crawford
he began learning the basics of guitar in 1977. He developed primary playing skills that allowed him to get the most out of his private lessons from jazz guitarist Ted Garno in 1982 and 1983. Steve then went on to college at Virginia Tech where he furthered his studies with music theory and jazz improvisation classes alongside world renowned jazz violinist Joseph Kennedy. In recent years Steve has played with his own bands: The Crawford Players and The Last of the Mo'Freakins.
Steve's musical interests include rock, blues, jazz, funk, and the jam band genres. He has a firm grasp of music theory and how it applies directly to the guitar fretboard. Steve has been teaching at Music Outlet in Manassas, VA since January 2010 and accepts new students as openings occur; mainly on Saturdays.
